Meet the Poodles
Let me introduce you to the little poodles behind the stories in this blog!
Leko is a 6.5lb (7lb after he is steak wasted!) black toy poodle who came to live with us in September 2008. My husband and I both never had dogs before. Once we brought that little 1.5lb bundle of energy home, our lives changed and the Berger household was never the same! He never ceases to amaze us with his personality and antics, and we’ve always said through the 5 years he’s been with us how we should be writing down all the funny stories and crazy things he has done… and with that we started SteelCityPoodle.com! We hope you continue to visit our site to share the laughter and fun this little guy provides us everyday!
Fun Facts About Leko
He has numerous nicknames, all of which he answers to: Chumpy, Chumps, Little Bubs, Little Loves, Poodle Buddy, Stinky, Spanky & Misters
Leko is spoiled and has a large basket fulll of toys. A red blanket with black pawprints is his favorite. He totes it everywhere, and it became known as his “Woobie.”
If Leko brings his Woobie to you, it is advised you don’t touch it. He loves to play fetch with it…. but he really wants you to hold it so he can hump it.
The word “bath” is a bad word in the Berger household. Leko hides and does anything possible, including playing dead, to get out of a bath.
Cooper the red toy poodle is the newest addition who came to live with us in January of 2014. He is a survivor and doesn’t let anything get it in his way! (read his full story here). Cooper is the rough and tough little boy in the household who loves wrestling and tormenting his bigger brother. The amount of food Cooper can put away is amazing to say the least. He loves eating, and will easily clear out his bowl and Leko’s! At 11 weeks of age, he was already half of Leko’s weight!
Fun Facts About Cooper
His nicknames include Coops, Coupe, Mr. Coopers, Coopa, Coopa Poopa and Peanut.
Cooper only plays with toys that are 20 times his size. He throws himself into walls while wrestling with them.
He can eat like there is no tomorrow.
He is the only one in the household who loves the snow. He face plants and dives in it every time he goes outside.
