Baby Sweet Potato Biscuits
Short on time and want to make your pup some goodies? This recipe has only two ingredients!
This recipe is very similar to the Baby Food Dog Biscuits that I made previously, just with oatmeal instead of flour. Just like the other baby food treat recipe, you can vary the flavor by buying any flavor of 4oz. baby food (just make sure the baby food does not contain garlic, onion or other ingredients that may be harmful for your pet). For these treats, I used Beechnut Classics ® Sweet Potato. You can be creative and mix and match the two baby foods to create your own flavors. Your pup will love you for it!
Servings: About 2 dozen (varies by cutter size)
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20-22 minutes (less time for smaller treats)
Preheat Oven to 350°
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
2 4oz. jars of sweet potato baby food (or any flavor you wish to use)
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oatmeal and baby food to create a thick mixture.
If using a cookie cutter, roll out the dough on your work surface to 1/4″ thick and cut into desired shapes. I was short on time so I rolled mine into 1 to 1-1/2″ balls then flattened them out by hand.
Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray and space treats about 1/4″ apart. Bake for 20-22 minutes (less time for smaller treats).
These can keep up to two weeks in either a container or a storage bag.
