Parmesan Cheese Pizza Dog Biscuits
What pup doesn’t like pizza!? These treats will be the smallest pizzas you will ever make! The recipe was overall pretty easy, just be careful not to add any additional water if you see the dough is not forming. I added just a tad extra and the dough was really sticky to work with. Try kneading the dough by hand if it makes it easier to form. These biscuits made the house smell AMAZING, and Leko was pacing and licking his lips the entire time they were baking.
Servings: Approx. 4 dozen (varies upon cookie cutter size – I used a 1 1/4″ dog bone cutter)
Prep Time: 20 min
Cook Time: 17-20 min
Preheat Oven to 350°
2 1/2 cups Flour (I used Whole Wheat Flour)
1/2 cup Powdered Dry Milk
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
3/4 cup Water
1 Egg Beaten
Parmesan Cheese Topping
Combine flour, dry milk, and garlic powder. Mix in egg. Add water (a little at a time) so that the mixture forms into a ball. Roll dough to 1/4″ thick and cut into desired shapes. Mix tomato paste with water and spread onto the cookies. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and Parmesan Cheese onto cookies. Bake 17-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove cookies from sheets and cool on rack. Store in an airtight container and they can be frozen for longer shelf life.
